Balanced Footprint, a carbon credits marketing company’s primary focus is to sell carbon credits to consumers and small businesses. When you purchase carbon credits from us, we in turn buy the correlating amount from projects that have been verified as having reduced carbon emissions. These carbon offsets, as well as our purchasing and sales practices, are independently verified and monitored by Green-e, a non profit consumer watchdog organization. The percentage of your purchase dollar allocated to each project varies by our cost of the credits, which fluctuates with the wholesale market prices of the day. In short, we aggregate enough retail customers' carbon purchases to buy large blocks in the wholesale market.
